Link a Project's Proposed Budget with a Forecast or Planned Budget Value

You can link a project's Forecast or Planned Budget values from the Cash Flow page to the proposed budget values on the Budget Planning page. Link date and cost fields, including Start, Finish, and Total Cost, to use in your budget plan scenarios.

To link scenario date and cost fields to the values proposed by the project manager:

1. In the object selector, select Portfolio, and then select View Portfolios List.
2. Select a portfolio name.
3. From the Main Menu, select Cost and Funds, and then select Budget Planning.
4. To link one project, select Link.

   To link multiple projects, use Ctrl+click to select each project. On the Actions menu, select Link, and then select Highlighted Projects.

   Note: You cannot edit the Start, Finish, Total Cost, or time-phased cost fields when the link is enabled.

5. Select Save.
