Assign a Cost Category to a Scope Item

Assign cost categories to scope items if cost categories are used in the project to categorize cost types. All scope assignments inherit the cost category assigned to the scope item.

Note: After a baseline is set, cost categories must be added or updated by submitting a change request.

To assign a cost category to a scope item:

1. In the object selector, select ﱆ Project, select View Projects List, and then select a project name.
2. From the  Main Menu, select  Scope, and then select Scope Items.
3. In the Cost Category column, select a category type.
4. Select Save.

Tips

• Rolled up cost and hour values are viewed on the project Cost Sheet and can also be viewed on the Cost Sheet for the workspace.
