Add and Submit a Proposal from a Potential Change Order

If you are responsible for work related to a potential change order, then you probably have to submit a proposal related to it.

To add and submit a proposal for a potential change order:

  1. In the object selector, select Project, select View Projects List, and then select a project name.
  2. From the Main Menu, select Contracts and Commitments, and then select Potential Change Orders.
  3. On the Potential Change Orders page, select a potential change order.
  4. On the Proposals tab, select Add.
  5. In the new proposal row, enter information about the new proposal.

    In the Schedule Impact field, enter the number of days that you expect the change detailed by the potential change order to impact your work.

  6. In the Line Items detail window, add all line items that you expect to complete as a result of the change order and a total for each.
  7. On the Files tab, add any necessary files related to the proposal.
  8. Select Save.
  9. On the Proposals tab, by the row for your proposal, select the Context menu, and then select Submit Proposal.

    You can also do this from the Actions menu in the proposal.

  10. In the Submit Proposal dialog box, in the Notify Users field, select the users who you want to be notified of your proposal.
  11. Select Submit.

After you submit the proposal, the status of the PCO changes from In Progress - Pricing to In Progress - Review.

You will not be able to add another proposal until this proposal is approved or rejected.
